Maintenance and Support
At Gogebic, we are dedicated to providing the best maintenance and support services for your medical care needs. We understand that access to ongoing support is critical for maintaining optimal health, which is why we offer comprehensive maintenance and support services for all our residents.
Maintenance Service Support for the facility is comprised of several departments: Maintenance, Janitors, Housekeeping, Laundry and Supply.
Each department is staffed by a dedicated team of individuals with unique skills and qualifications.
Their main goal is to provide for the care and comfort of our residents and staff in an efficient and unobtrusive manner.

Maintenance
Maintenance to the building, equipment and grounds is provided by janitors, maintenance staff and janitor / maintenance staff. Janitors provide much of the floor care, garbage collection and light maintenance. They are staffed 24 hours a day to provide security and emergency life safety care during fire, severe weather and other facility emergencies. Maintenance staff takes care of the plumbing, electrical, heating, refrigeration and general building upkeep. Janitorial / Maintenance staff takes care of the grounds and help with maintenance and janitorial duties.
Housekeeping
Daily resident room and space cleaning is provided by employees in Support Service Aides. Cleaning procedures assure resident room cleanliness and provide infection control measures.
Laundry
Resident linen service is provided by Laundry employees. Recent equipment purchases have been made to provide tracking and efficient linen processing. Procedures are also in place to provide infection control measures. All linen and personal clothing services are provided in house.
Supply
The Supply Department is responsible for ordering, maintaining and inventorying all facility supplies.
